Having a mentor is crucial to good success. A mentor is someone who has been to where you long to be or has the experience you desire to have.

This doesn’t mean mentors are super-humans or special people without flaws or challenges. No, not at all. They are human just like you too, meaning they are not perfect beings.

However, what makes mentors valuable to you is that they have mostly conquered their flaws and overcome their challenges. As a result, you get to benefit from their guidance and learn to avoid making the same mistakes they made while trying to achieve the success they now have under their belt.

This is as close to ‘shortcut to success’ as you can get.

The benefits of having a mentor are numerous, but I will just leave you with this five:

1: A mentor helps to guide you on the path you have never been [but need to go through] in order for you to attain similar or even greater success [than the mentor has had] with fewer difficulties.

2: A mentor helps you see opportunities and dangers ahead [based on knowledge and experience he or she has that you are yet to acquire] thus guiding you on how to take specific steps.

3: A mentor empowers you with the action steps needed to make the journey to success and greatness — faster and easier.

4: A mentor encourages you to reach and exceed your limit and go farther than you ever thought you could.

5: A mentor helps to inspire faith in you – so you can – overcome your fears and the limitations that lie on your path to success.
